Intercollegiate mUSIC Band Competition

 

We are thrilled to present AMUSE 2025, an exciting and prestigious intercollegiate music band competition, organized by the Aloysius Alumni Association, in collaboration with St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth. This event will honor the legacy of the legendary music composer, guitarist, and esteemed alumnus, John P. Varkey, and is set to become an annual tradition. AMUSE 2025 provides an extraordinary platform for college students across Kerala to showcase their musical talents, celebrate creativity, and contribute to the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Through this competition, we aim to inspire the next generation of musicians while mortalizing the musical legacy of John P. Varkey, whose contributions continue to inspire us all.

AMUSE 2025 provides an extraordinary platform for college students across Kerala to showcase their musical talents, celebrate creativity, and contribute to the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Through this competition, we aim to inspire the next generation of musicians while mortalizing the musical legacy of John P. Varkey, whose contributions continue to inspire us all.

PriZE DETAILS

In addition to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, we also have awards for Best Vocalist, Best Group Vocal Arrangement, Best Guitarist, Best Bassist, Best Drummer, Best Pianist, and Best Instrumentalist (Other Instruments).

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Drug Use and Possession

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes or vaping devices, is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
Alcohol
The consumption, possession, or distribution of alcohol is forbidden under any circumstances during the event.
Weapons and Dangerous Items
Carrying weapons, dangerous items, or any object that could harm others is strictly prohibited.

Expected Behavior

Respect and Responsibility
All attendees must conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner at all times.
Disrespectful behavior, harassment, or causing discomfort to others will not be tolerated.
Property Care
Respect for institutional property and facilities is mandatory.
Any damage caused to premises or equipment will result in penalties, including potential police involvement and legal action.

Event Entry Requirements

Admission Policy
Only registered individuals with valid tickets containing barcodes will be allowed entry.
Attendees must carry a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
Volunteer Checks
Event volunteers are authorized to check IDs and tickets as many times as necessary without restriction. Cooperation is expected at all times.
